No dial in numbers or pin codes to remember. Dead Simple Conferencing.
Secure and private, only those you invite will be able to join the call.
Call anyone on your contact list - they don't need the app to participate.
Great 5 Star Reviews of CrowdCall

How is CrowdCall different from other conference call services?
Unlike most conferencing or group call services, CrowdCall doesn't use dial-in numbers or pins, the host of the group call who has the CrowdCall app simply selects the participants or a favorite group of participants and touches the "Call" button and CrowdCall creates an instant conference, selecting a number to call to begin the conference. Once the host calls the conference number, every other participant is called and the conference begins.

If a person has multiple numbers can I use CrowdCall to call all of their numbers at once?
Yes, simply include all of their numbers in the call - save them in favorites. When you call them, all of their phones will ring and then they can decide which one to answer.

Can I include participants from all around the world for free?
You can call people in the US, Canada and 40 other countries.

Does it cost anything to use CrowdCall?
CrowdCall uses your carrier connection to connect to our servers. If you have your location services (GPS) on, we will connect using a local number and you will only be charged for a local call. Since CrowdCall servers call out to the other participants neither they or you are charged.

Copy Text From Any Image

Do you need certain information in the form of text from scanned copies of documents.Either you can write the whole text by typing or you can use an OCR software.OCR (optical Character recognition) is
method to extract text from images. It can recognise handwritten, printed or typewritten text and can reproduce them into editable word ortxt format. These OCR software also preserve the formmating of the orignal scanned document into converted document. They are not 100% accurate and the converted document still requires some editing. But it is better to use an OCR software and do some editing rather to type the whole Doument.

if you have microsoft office installed in your computer then you won’t need any other third-party software as you can useMicrosoft Office OneNote to copy text from image.

Trick to Copy Text From Any Image
For this you have to install MS-Office on your system. Now openMicrosoft Office OneNote (Start–>All Programs–>Microsoft Office–>Microsoft Office OneNote). Drag and Drop the image in the MS-OneNote window from which you want copy the text. NowRight-Click on the image and selectCopy Text From Picture option.

OpenNotepad orMS-Office (where you want save the text) andpaste the content there. Now you have the whole text in your notepad or Ms-Office.You can edit or format it and save only the required excerpt.

Android Tips and Tricks

Tips
1- Visual cue for scrolling: When you are in a scrollable list (like your Gmail inbox) and you reach the end of the list it shows an orange hue—a visual cue that you can’t scroll anymore.

2- Notification bar icons (Wi-Fi, network coverage bars, etc.): Turn green when you have an uninhibited connection to Google, white when you don’t. Hint: if you’re in a hotel or airport using Wi-Fi, the bars won’t turn green until you launch the browser and get past the captive portal.

3- Voice actions: Tell your phone what to do by pressing the microphone icon next to the search box on the home screen, or long press the magnifying glass. You can tell it to send an email or text message (“send text to mom, see you for pizza at 7”), call someone (“call mom”), navigate somewhere (“navigate to pizza”), or listen to music (“listen to Mamma Mia”).

4- Find things you’ve downloaded from your browser: Your downloads are now neatly collected in a Downloads manager, which you can find in the apps drawer.

5- Turn a Gallery stack into a slideshow: In Gallery, when you are looking at a stack of photos, put two fingers on the stack and spread them. The stack spreads out and the pictures flow from one finger to the other, a moving slideshow that lets you see all of the photos.

6- Walk, don’t drive: Once you’ve gotten directions within Google Maps, click on the walking person icon to get walking directions.

7- Easy text copy/paste from a webpage: To copy/paste from a webpage, long press some text, drag the handles around to select the text you want to copy, and press somewhere in the highlighted region. To paste, simply long press a text entry box and select paste. Gmail is a bit different: you need to go to Menu > More > Select Text.

8- Turn your phone into a Wi-Fi hotspot: Go to Settings > Wireless & Networks > Tethering & Portable Hotspot. (You may have to pay extra for this feature.)

9- Look at Maps in 3D: With the latest release of Google Maps, you can now look at 3D maps. Tilt the map by sliding two fingers vertically up/down the screen, and rotate it by placing two fingers on the map and sliding in a circular motion, e.g., from 12 and 6 o’clock to 3 and 9.

10- Cool shutdown effect: When you put the phone to sleep, you’ll see an animation that resembles an old cathode tube TV turning off.

Keyboard Tricks

11- Shift+Key to capitalize a word: In Gingerbread (and supported hardware), you can Shift+Key to capitalize a letter instead of going to a separate all caps keyboard.

12- Auto-complete: The space bar lights up when auto-complete can finish a word.

13- Quick replace: Tap on any previously typed word, then tap on a suggestion to automatically replace it with the suggested word.

14- Easy access to special characters (like numbers, punctuation): Press and hold any key to go to the special character keyboard. You can also press and hold the “,” key for an extensive punctuation keyboard.

Applications

15- Angry Birds: Popular game that lets you knock down blocks by slingshotting birds.

16- Astro: Awesome file explorer app. Browse and access the directories on your phone, and take full advantage of its capabilities. Great if you’re a power user.

17- Chrome to Phone: This one is really useful for Chrome users. You can send anything you browse on your computer to your phone. So if you are heading out to a restaurant or party and look up directions on your computer, just click the “send to phone” button (requires Chrome to Phone extension) and that exact page will open on your phone. Same with virtually any webpage.

18- Flash: Install from Android Market to watch Flash videos embedded throughout the web. Runs even better on Gingerbread.

19- Fruit Ninja: A juicy action game that tests your ability to smash flying fruit. A fun time-killer on the bus or train.

20- FXCamera: Popular photo sharing app with slick effects and filters.

21- Google Maps: Use your device as a GPS navigation system with free turn-by-turn voice guidance, and take advantage of other Google Maps features like Street View, Latitude and Places.

22- Instant Heart Rate: Measure your heart rate using your camera.

23- Phonalyzr: Track your phone usage: who you text most, call most, average call length distribution, etc.

24- RemoteDroid: Control your computer from your phone. Gives you a mobile wireless mouse and keyboard. Great if you’re using your computer for music or movies.

25- Shazam: Identifies virtually any song you are listening to.

26- SoundHound: Record a snippet of a song and get it identified instantly. You can even hum (if you can carry a tune!).

27- Tango: A free, high-quality video call app that works on both 3G and Wi-Fi. If your device has a front facing camera (e.g., Nexus S), you will love this app.

28 YouTube: New UI. Plus, portrait-mode player, and view comments and drop-down box video information

Use Windows 7 Without Activation

Most of you might be aware of the fact that it is possible to use Windows 7 and Vista for 120 days without activation. This is actually possible using the slmgr -rearm command which will extend the gr...ace period from 30 days to 120 days.
However, in this post I will show you a small trick using which it is possible to use Windows 7 without activation for approximately an year! Here is a way to do that.

Step-1. Go to “Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories“.
Right click on the “Command Prompt” and select “Run as Administrator“. If you are not the administrator, then you are prompted to enter the password, or else you can proceed to step-2.

Step-2. Now type the following command and hit Enter:
slmgr -rearm

Step-3. You will be prompted to restart the computer. Once restarted, the trial period will once again be reset to 30 days. You can use the above command for up to 3 times by which you can extend the trial period to 120 days without activation.

Step-4. Now comes the actual trick by which you can extend the trial period for another 240 days. To do this, open the Registry Editor (type regedit in “Run” and hit Enter) and navigate to the following location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtectionPlatform

Step-5. In the right-side pane, change value of SkipRearm to 1.

Step-6. Now, you should be able to use the slmgr -rearm command for another 8 times so that you can skip the activation process for another 240 days. So you will get 120 + 240 = 360 days of free Windows 7 usage.
120 days using “slmgr -rearm” command before registry edit
+
240 days using “slmgr -rearm” command after registry edit
= 360 Days

Change Win7 logon screen..

How would you like to change the logon screen background in Windows 7 so as to give your Windows a customized look and feel? With a small tweak it is possible to customize the Windows 7 logon screen and set your own picture/wallpaper as the background. Changing logon screen background in

Windows 7 is as simple as changing your desktop wallpaper. Well here is a step by step

1. The image you need to set as the background should be a .jpg file and it’s size should not exceed 245KB.

2. The image resolution can be anything of your choice. However I prefer 1440 x 900 or 1024 x 768. You can use any of the photo editing software such as Photoshop to compress and set the resolution for your image. Once you’re done, save this image as backgroundDefault.jpg.

3. You will need to copy this image to
C:\Windows\system32\oobe\info\
backgrounds
You will need to create that path if it does not already exist on your computer.

4. Now open the Registry Editor (Start -> Run -> Type regedit) and navigate to the following key
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\
LogonUI\Background

If Background does not exist rightclick LogonUI, select New and then Key, and then name it Background. Now locate OEMBackground (listed on the right side). If it does not exist, right-click Background and select New and then DWORD and name it OEMBackground.

5. Double-click on OEMBackground and set the Value Data to 1.

6. Now log-off to see the new logon screen background. If you would like to revert back to the default background, just set the Value Data back to 0.

I hope you like this trick. Just try out and give your feedback!
