Hoax Slayer informs that some fraudsters want to make a profit by advertising an application that will change the color of Facebook to black.


It all starts with a simple post which reads: Change Your CoIor Right Now.

Those who click on the link are taken to a website which promotes an app that can allegedly change the color of Facebook to anything.

Once the application is installed, victims are requested to complete a survey before they can make it work.


These types of surveys might look innocent, but they can help scammers not only earn money, but also harvest sensitive information.

In the end,no colors are changed. Instead, the shady post advertising the black Facebook app is posted on the victim's Timeline.

This is not the first time when crooks offer to change the color of the social media website.

Last time, they promised a pink Facebook...
